Has anyone else been following Billy Wellman's case? I stumbled across it while researching missing persons from the early '90s in Texas, and I can't stop wondering about the suitcase he was supposed to be traveling with. Did anyone ever report if it was found or left behind at the bus station in Crockett, or even if he had it on him when he vanished? It seems odd that there's so little detail about such a significant piece of evidence. If the suitcase was found or somehow tracked, it might provide some clues—like, was it packed for a short trip or did he take more things hinting at a longer stay? Would love to hear if anyone knows more or has heard anything about this angle.
Hey everyone, I wanted to bring up something that might be worth discussing about Billy Wellman's case. Does anyone know if there was CCTV at the bus station in Crockett, Texas back in 1991? I know it's a long shot, considering the technology back then wasn't anything like today, but sometimes bigger stations did have security cameras, even if they were rudimentary.
If there's any chance that footage still exists or was reviewed at the time, it might provide some clues about whether Billy really boarded the bus to California or if something else happened. It's been so long, but revisiting every little detail could be crucial. I feel for his family, who probably have had to endure so many unanswered questions all these years. Any thoughts on this or info I might have missed?
