Anyone else puzzled by the whole "Cousin Jane" aspect of Marguerite Hoffman's disappearance? I find it super strange that nobody in the family had ever heard of this person before, yet John Jr. reportedly talked about her as if she were a close contact. It's baffling that no one pressed him for a more detailed description, or maybe they did, and he simply brushed it off? And what about the claim that she went to a "Seminole Amish Indian Reservation"? To me, the story seems more like something out of a poorly written novel. I get that reports can sometimes get tangled up, but this one is throwing up a ton of red flags. Hoping someone can shed some light or theories on what this "Cousin Jane" story really implies. Could it just be a convenient fabrication?
Has anyone else looked into the peculiar mention of the "Seminole Amish Indian Reservation" that John claimed Marguerite moved to? I can't seem to find any credibility to this place existing anywhere in Florida or on any reservation lists. Could it be a red herring, or maybe even a fabricated location by John for some reason? It just seems odd that he would provide such a specific yet apparently non-existent place. Plus, if he knew Marguerite well, wouldn’t it be strange for her to leave for an undefined destination given her poor health and near-blindness? Curious if anyone has dug into possible connections or hidden meanings behind this claim.
