I've been digging into the case of Charles Hall III, and something that caught my attention is the weather on the day he vanished. December 31, 1981, was a chilly winter day in Nashville, which makes me wonder if it's possible that Charles might have sought refuge somewhere to escape the cold after leaving his ex-girlfriend's house. Given that he was last seen upset and without a specific destination, could he have ducked into a nearby building for warmth—perhaps an unoccupied house, a friend's place, or even a community location like a church or store that might have been open late? I know it's just speculation, but I wonder if anyone has checked the surrounding areas from back then for abandoned or forgotten buildings that could have offered temporary shelter. It's possible someone noticed him entering but never reported it because they assumed he'd come back out. I'm really curious if anyone here, maybe locals or history buffs familiar with the neighborhood, has insights on places where teens might have gone to hang out or hide away during that time period.
