So, I've been diving into the details of Trenny Lynn Gibson's case, and something that's caught my attention is the blue Adidas shoes she was wearing. Has there ever been any report or rumor of those shoes being found, maybe even years later? I know sometimes personal items surface much later in other cases. Seems like if someone had taken her, those shoes would be distinctive enough to turn up if discarded. Just wondering if anyone’s heard anything along these lines or if it was ever a significant focus in the search efforts. I can't shake the feeling that knowing about any personal item found could provide some clue about what really happened that day. Thoughts?

I’ve been curious about the weather conditions during Trenny’s disappearance. On October 8, 1976, the weather in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park was reportedly overcast and cool. I wonder how much the weather might have impacted the search efforts? With the steep terrain and dense undergrowth near Clingman’s Dome, maybe the cloudy conditions reduced visibility even more? And what about the potential impact on scent trails for search dogs? If the weather shifted while everyone was out there, it could have made things even trickier for the search teams. Does anyone have more detailed info on how the weather might have played a role in search and rescue operations back then?
