I came across the case of Bessie Lindner while digging through cold cases from Suffolk County, and what's really been sticking with me is the mystery around why she was at the hospital in the first place. Was it a routine visit, or was something more going on that might have prompted her abrupt departure? I can't seem to find any info about her health or mental state prior to her disappearance. It's frustrating that after so many years, we don't have even the basic context around her last known movements. I wonder if anyone with access to historical medical records from that hospital might be able to shed some light, or if patient privacy rules have made this information inaccessible over the years. Would love to hear from anyone who might know more about how such records are handled in cases this old.
