Has anyone looked into the records or reports of any incidents involving unidentified persons or missing adults from the areas between Carrollton, Missouri, and Fremont, California, around the time Billie Junior Meyer went missing? It seems like the route they were traveling could potentially hold some clues. Maybe he had a car accident or some sort of mishap during the journey that went unreported or unnoticed at the time. I just feel like given the time gap between his disappearance and the report of him missing, something critical might have been overlooked in those early moments. Anyone have thoughts on whether local law enforcement at the time had any informal records or even whispers of such an incident? Could be worth digging into old newspaper archives for any mentions, too.
