Hey everyone, I’ve been reading up on the Teresa Gossage and Alfred Marshal case from 1976, and something’s been really bugging me. Has anyone ever looked into how the initial investigation was handled by the military and local law enforcement at Fort Leonard Wood? It's always been murky to me, especially since both teens' families were involved with the military, and you’d think there’d be some urgency. I know the car was found locked up with some personal items left inside, but it seems like from day one, the angle of them potentially running away was pushed hard. Was that just a convenient narrative back then? I get that theories evolve, but it strikes me as odd given their established backgrounds and future plans. Anyway, just wondering if any details about police procedures or any potential slip-ups have surfaced over the years. I’d really appreciate any insights or thoughts you guys have. Thanks!
