Hey everyone, I've been following the Mary E. Buckley case closely and something's been bugging me about the whole car situation. The Hyundai Santa Fe being intentionally hidden near a train trestle in Bridgeton—does anyone else find it odd considering Gary's mental state? It's almost like there was some planning involved, despite everything pointing towards an impulsive act driven by despair. Makes me wonder if Gary had someone else in mind to look after Mary, or if there was another layer to this tragic story that we might be missing. With the wooded area being on the east side of the river, it seems like a rather secluded spot. Was there any suggestion that Gary had connections in that area, or is it just a spot he knew would keep things hidden? Would love to hear your thoughts or any theories you might have!
Did anyone else notice the strange choice of location for Gary's second note? Carving "I'm sorry" into wood at the very place he ended his own life feels symbolic, but I wonder if it hints at something more. Was he trying to apologize specifically to Mary, to his family, or perhaps to himself? It seems that choice – leaving a message at such a poignant spot – might indicate a deeper layer to his intentions. Maybe it tells us as much about his mindset as it does about the tragedy itself. Also, I can't help but wonder why he chose to leave one note in the car where it could easily be found and the other, less obvious one, out in a secluded spot. Thoughts?
