Has anyone looked into post-traumatic stress as a factor in James Wood's disappearance? The more I read about him, the more I wonder if his combat experiences played a bigger role than we might think. It's heartbreaking that someone could survive the hell of war only to get lost in the civilian world because of it. Wood talked about having to answer for things he did, which sounds a lot like survivor's guilt. Could he have gone off the grid to grapple with these issues alone? I haven't seen much discussion on this angle, but it could be crucial to understanding why he felt the need to "go away." Thoughts?
