Has anyone else looked into the connection between Shirley's disappearance and the former tenant who claimed he received a $500 holiday gift from her? I find it suspicious that this guy used her credit card right after she vanished. Also, the way he tried to dismiss the credit card charges just doesn't sit right with me. If Shirley was wary enough of this tenant to write about his behavior in her diary, it's hard to believe she'd willingly give him that kind of financial access. I wonder if there are any records of how the police followed up on this angle after reopening the case in 2008. There might be more to uncover about these payments and his interactions with her. Would love to know what others think about this lead and if there’s anything new on it.

Has anyone else noticed the strange gap between when Shirley went missing and when authorities were alerted? I mean, almost two weeks passed before her relatives reported her absence. It makes me wonder about the dynamics of her relationship with her family at the time. They were estranged, but it's curious they didn't check in sooner, especially with her being an insulin-dependent diabetic. I'm sure this was normal for them if they were estranged, but it feels like such a long time for no one to notice. I wonder if the delay impacted the investigation and if it might have been a factor in the lack of early leads. Any thoughts?
