It's puzzling that someone with Masaki Sonomura’s level of responsibility and structured life could just vanish from his own home. It's worth noting that people often overlook the natural surroundings in Hawaii that can quickly become perilous, even if you're familiar with them. Given that Masaki lived in Paukaa, which is quite close to rugged terrains and steep cliffs, is it possible he might have wandered off his property, perhaps due to a medication side effect or disorientation, and accidentally encountered trouble? If he was known to walk around his property at night, perhaps this is an angle worth considering—or does anyone know if officials explored that possibility thoroughly back in 2000 when the search was conducted? It seems strange that nothing turned up despite those initial search efforts.

Has anyone looked into Masaki's business connections for any potential leads? It's interesting because he was such a prominent figure with M. Sonomura Contracting Company Inc., which makes me wonder if there might have been any business-related tensions or disputes that could have played a role in his disappearance. I know it's been a long time, but sometimes these angles are overlooked. Given his standing in the community, perhaps someone might have seen or heard something connected to his professional life that seemed off leading up to that night. Has this angle been discussed in detail by police or in past reports? I feel like there's potentially a lot more to explore here. Thoughts?
