Hey all, I was reading through some of the details about Gary Nuetzel's case and got curious about the Bobcat Fire's impact on the area. I've hiked in places post-wildfire before, and the landscape can be so different, it’s almost unrecognizable. Could this drastic change in scenery have contributed to Gary's disappearance? I mean, if you've been hiking a place for decades and the familiar landmarks are all changed or gone, it’d be easy to lose your bearings, right? What strikes me is Gary's familiarity with the area, yet even that wasn’t enough with how different everything looks now. This makes me wonder, did anyone else struggle with navigation there since it reopened? Any thoughts on how the changes might impact even experienced hikers like Gary?
