Hey everyone, I was recently reading about the Mitchell Smith case from Friendswood, and something really caught my attention. I’m curious about the timeframe between his disappearance and the discovery of those remains. Does anyone have any insight into how long it typically takes for authorities to perform DNA testing in situations like this? It seems like there was a lot of urgency with his case, but I wonder what standard procedure is and if it affects the timeline of investigations. Any info or thoughts? Thanks!
Hey everyone,
I recently came across the case of Mitchell Smith, and something that's been bugging me is how the remains weren't discovered until much later after he went missing, despite the search efforts. Friendswood isn't that big of a place, so I'm wondering if there might have been any particular restrictions or areas that were initially overlooked during the early stages of the search? It strikes me as odd that it took so long to find them, particularly if they were near a residence.
I’m just curious if anyone here knows more about search efforts like these, or if there could have been factors that might have delayed the discovery? Maybe residents didn't realize what had happened or the area wasn't canvassed thoroughly early on. Any insights or thoughts would be appreciated!
I've been following Mitchell Smith's case since he went missing, and it's one that keeps nagging at me. One thing that stands out is the location where they found the remains. Does anyone remember if there were any reported incidents or unusual activities in that part of Friendswood around December last year? It seems like such a quiet area, so I'm curious if anyone local might have noticed something odd around the time Mitchell disappeared. It's like solving a puzzle with missing pieces, and any small detail could be the key. What do you guys think?
