I find it utterly baffling that Ava's absence went unnoticed for so many years. The lack of records about her schooling is particularly concerning. How could she just vanish without a trace from any educational system? It's like she fell through the cracks entirely. I think it really highlights a major flaw in the system that allows a child to be absent without raising any alarms. Moreover, why did the family and community not notice anything suspicious? Did nobody question Virginia about Ava's whereabouts during holidays or family gatherings? It's genuinely unsettling how someone can just disappear in plain sight. I hope authorities dig deep into her social circles and question people from back then. Surely someone must know something.
Has anyone else been struck by the lack of school records for Ava and her siblings? It's really troubling that none of Virginia Gonzales’ children were enrolled in school. How could something like this go unnoticed for so long? With Ava disappearing in 2017 and all those kids not having any school records, it makes me wonder what attempts, if any, were made by any agency to check on these kids over the years. I’ve heard of unschooling, homeschooling, etc., but surely someone should have raised a flag? It’s really disturbing to think about how many gaps there could be in monitoring situations like this. What do you all think? Can anyone share insights on how this might slip under the radar for so long?
