I can't stop thinking about the fact that Michael was part of Green Acres assisted living for years, and yet there was no system in place to prevent him from wandering off. It’s alarming that any resident could just walk out like that, especially someone with dementia. Is it normal for assisted living facilities to be so open? Seems like they should've had some procedures or checks for residents known to wander. Maybe this incident will push for more stringent policies to ensure something like this doesn't happen again. Thoughts?
