Hey everyone, I've been reading up on the Lois Schmidt and Jonathan Vetrano case, and one detail that really haunts me is the role of Richard Stoner. It's chilling to think that someone who served in the military could come back and get involved in something so horrific. The idea that he was able to wait outside their home for 45 minutes knowing what he was about to do is just unfathomable to me. I can't begin to imagine the pain and fear this must have caused Lois and Jonathan in those final moments. Do you think there are any signs or red flags that someone could be capable of such actions? I'm curious if the investigators ever looked into Stoner's past military service to see if there were any unresolved issues that might have contributed to his actions. My thoughts go out to the families affected by the loss of Lois and Jonathan. They deserved so much better, and I hope they've found some peace knowing justice was served with Stoner's conviction. Would love to hear your thoughts on this aspect of the case.

Hey everyone, I was reading through some of the old articles and forum threads about Lois Schmidt and her son Jonathan's tragic murder, and something that stood out to me was the role of technology in finally cracking the case. It's remarkable how advances in forensic techniques can breathe new life into seemingly dead-end investigations. The case was cold for so many years, and I can't imagine how tough that must have been for Lois and Jonathan's loved ones, feeling like there was no justice in sight. Knowing that innovations in forensic science, along with the persistence of dedicated investigators, finally brought some resolution is kind of a silver lining in an otherwise dark story. To anyone who's ever lost someone, just know that sometimes there are breakthroughs when you least expect them, though it won't erase the loss. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this case.

Hi everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the role of the investigators in the Lois Schmidt and Jonathan Vetrano case. I can't even imagine how difficult it must be for the detectives when a case like this one goes cold. Yet, their tenacity in sticking with it for so many years is truly commendable. The fact that they didn't give up after such a long time clearly shows their dedication to seeking justice for Lois and young Jonathan, as well as their family's and community's need for closure. I wonder what specific techniques or technologies eventually led to the breakthrough in 2018. It's just a reminder of how crucial advancements in forensic science and persistent detective work can be in resolving such tragic cases. Major kudos to the officers and all those who didn't stop until they brought a part of this story to light, even if not all questions are answered. It's unfortunate that some aspects of the case still haunt the families involved. Nonetheless, it gives some hope that, sometimes, even when justice takes years, it's not beyond reach. Hoping that this might bring some comfort to their loved ones who continue to bear this loss. Stay gentle, everyone.
