Having followed the "Corona Girl" case for so long, it was both deeply moving and unsettling to finally learn Sue Ann Huskey's true identity. Imagining those three decades where her family had no answers is hard. I can't help but wonder about the T-shirt she was wearing. Did it hold special meaning for her, or was it just something she happened to put on that day? It’s eerie to think that something as mundane as a piece of clothing played a pivotal role in her case and in maintaining her anonymity for all those years.
In a way, this tragic detail highlights how little we know about someone’s story from just a single item. As we now know from genealogical research, she was so much more than "Corona Girl" — she was Sue Ann, a 17-year-old with family and a life ahead of her that was unjustly taken. I'm hoping that with advancements in technology, her killer can finally be brought to justice. Does anyone else think it’s possible she wasn't hitchhiking but knew her killer in some other way? It’s troubling, and the need for answers continues. Sending strength to Sue Ann’s family as they navigate this difficult journey.
