Has anyone else noticed how the "Never Forgotten" database is being used more and more in recent cases? It feels like just a few years ago, public access to this kind of information was so limited. Now, with Steven Cowgill’s disappearance being listed there, I’m wondering if more awareness can help in some way. I’m just thinking out loud here, but it would be great if more members of the community kept an eye on entries like Steven's and shared any bits of info they might have. Every little clue could help lead to a breakthrough! Does anyone know how effective this database has been in other missing person cases?

Has anyone else looked into the possibility of linking local surveillance footage from around Charleston to Steven's disappearance? I’ve been digging through news articles and comments, and it seems like there was a fair amount of Halloween activity that night, which might mean more people had security cameras on or recorded the festivities in some way. It's baffling to me that no significant leads have emerged yet. With all the technology we have today, I can't help but wonder if checking for any overlooked or unrequested footage could turn up a clue. More eyes might spot something others missed. Is there anyone coordinating an effort like this or is it something only law enforcement can handle?

Did anyone else catch the news about that new cold cases division? I think it's a smart move, especially with so many missing people reports piling up over the years. I've been following Steven Cowgill's case, and it’s just so puzzling how someone can just vanish without a trace like this. Hopefully, the additional resources can help. I notice that cold case units have had success in other states by looking at old evidence with fresh eyes—maybe they'll find something new that was missed. Do any locals know if they've had any success with these types of units before? Maybe a success story could give his family and our community some hope.
