I visited the Children's Memory Garden of Nashville last weekend, and I was deeply moved by the serene environment they've created to honor young lives lost too soon. Standing there, seeing Dara Men’s name amongst others, each with flowers and tokens left by loved ones, really brings home the impact of youth violence on our community. It's one thing to read about these tragedies, but it's humbling and sobering to stand in a place that so many families visit to find a sense of peace and connection. I hope that this memorial continues to be a beacon for change and that more people are inspired to take action against youth violence in Dara’s memory. If you're in the Nashville area, I encourage you to visit the garden. It’s a powerful reminder of the lives behind the statistics and what we’re fighting for.
