Has anyone been following the CJ Dotson interviews from the Lester Street case? His courage is absolutely remarkable after everything he went through. I can’t even imagine the trauma of not only surviving such a horrific event but also having to identify his own uncle as the perpetrator. I hope he’s found some peace over the years and has had access to the support he needs. If anyone has seen any recent interviews or articles about how CJ is doing today, I'd really appreciate you sharing. It’s haunting to think about how such a young child became a pivotal part of bringing justice to his family. ?

Hey everyone, I've been following the Lester Street Massacre case for some time and wanted to share a small detail that really stuck with me about the trial. It's absolutely baffling how Jessie Dotson recanted his confession, claiming he was hiding during the attack. Like, how on Earth could anyone not know what was happening in a small house during such a horrific event? Especially when it involved his own family, including those innocent kids. It makes me wonder about the psychological aspect at play here. Was he trying to save face, or was there some twisted belief he could convince others of his innocence? It's painful to think about the additional trauma this might have caused for the surviving children, having to relive the ordeal and stand firm against these claims. I can't even imagine the courage it took for young CJ to identify his own uncle as the attacker. He's undoubtedly a brave soul, and my heart goes out to him and the others who survived. I hope they're finding some semblance of peace now, despite the living nightmare they endured.
