I've been reading about the tragic case of Isaias Gonzalez and something that's really stuck with me is the overwhelming challenge faced by investigators back in 2014. Memphis was going through such a tough period with rampant violent crimes, and it's like the entire city was under siege. With limited resources and the sheer volume of cases, it's heartbreaking to think how many families were searching for answers and closure, but were met with silence and unsolved cases like Isaias’s. You have to wonder how many potential witnesses might have been too scared to come forward because of the fear of gang retribution. It's deeply frustrating to see how these criminal elements can paralyze a community's ability to seek justice. What do you all think could be done to improve these situations, where fear and crime intersect, as part of the justice system’s efforts?
