Does anyone here know more about the community meetings that were happening back in 2007, around the time of Larry Jr. Staley's murder? I’ve read that local groups in Philly were organizing some gatherings to try and tackle the violence and support grieving families, but it seems like so much got overshadowed because of the sheer number of cases. It just breaks my heart to think about all the families, like Larry's, who had to face this nightmare alone. Were there specific initiatives or projects that started back then? It would be great to hear if anyone has firsthand experiences or insights into the community efforts during that difficult time. It amazes me how the city came together, even in such dark moments.
