Has anyone ever looked into neighbors or local acquaintances from when Crist disappeared? It seems like no significant traces or leads ever emerged from right after he went missing, and I keep wondering whether anyone around him might have noticed something unusual back in 1995. People don't just vanish without leaving some sort of a trail, no matter how small. Maybe someone saw him or heard from him right around the time he disappeared and didn't think it was important enough to mention to the authorities? It's been so many years, but sometimes new eyes on old facts can really make a difference. If anyone knows if the neighbors were ever talked to, or if there were any community efforts to find Crist back then, would love to hear about it.
I was reading about Crist Nelson Dauberman Sr.'s case, and something really puzzled me: why did it take his family so long to report him missing? I understand that people have complicated family dynamics and sometimes lose touch, but waiting eight years seems unusual, especially given his PTSD and lack of contact. I wonder if there were any attempts by anyone else to reach out to him or verify his well-being during those years. It makes me think there might be more to the story about his relationships before he vanished. Does anyone have insights or know of similar cases where there was a significant delay in reporting someone missing?
Did anyone else find it odd how long it took for Crist's disappearance to be reported? I mean, eight years is an awfully long time for a missing person's case to go unreported, especially one involving a veteran with PTSD. It makes me wonder about the dynamics within his family at the time. What was going on that kept them from asking for help sooner? From what I’ve read, it seems there's a lot that hasn’t been explained about the family dynamics. Could this have played a role in why his disappearance wasn’t treated as an emergency initially? Maybe I'm overthinking it, but eight years just seems suspiciously long. Thoughts?
