Hi everyone, I've been following some of these unsolved cases in Philly, and Gregory Slaughter's murder really stands out to me. From what I’ve read, it’s just tragic how his life was cut short on that January night in 2008. He was only 26—so young, with so much ahead of him. It’s troubling that, all these years later, there’s been no resolution for his family. I’m wondering if anyone knows more about what efforts have been made to connect with the North 10th Street community? It seems like witness cooperation has been an issue, which must be incredibly frustrating for those hoping for justice. I’ve seen several community groups in other cities have some success with outreach programs to rebuild trust and encourage more community engagement. Do you think something similar could help in Gregory's case? My heart genuinely goes out to his family and friends. It's awful to think there’s been no closure for them all this time. Stay safe, everyone, and let’s keep discussing ways to bring awareness to these cases. ---

I've been following Gregory Slaughter's case for a while now, and one thing that continues to baffle me is the lack of community cooperation. I completely understand the fear and mistrust that can permeate neighborhoods, especially with the history of violence in Philadelphia back in 2008. But how can we break this cycle if people aren't willing to step forward? It's infuriating and so incredibly unfair to Gregory's family. They deserve answers, and Gregory deserves justice. I know there were likely witnesses or people with information who just didn't come forward. If anyone from the area at that time happens to read this, please, think about the impact you could have on his loved ones by sharing what you know—even anonymously. Every small piece of information could be the key to finally bringing peace to his family.
