I was reading through some old articles and came across the unsolved murder of Dorothy Smith from June 5, 2008. It's haunting to think that her case is one of many from that year in Philadelphia that still remains without answers. I can't imagine the pain her family must feel, nearly two decades later, without closure or justice for Dorothy. It's like she's become another statistic in a city plagued by unresolved violence. Has anyone heard if the police are actively revisiting cold cases like hers? It would be a relief to know there’s still hope for finding out what happened and bringing some peace to her loved ones.

Hi everyone, I just stumbled upon Dorothy Smith’s case today and have been thinking about the impact on her family and community ever since. It’s really distressing that her murder is still unsolved after all these years. Aspen Street must have felt like such an ordinary part of the neighborhood, and to have something so horrific happen there is just unimaginable. I hope that whoever took her life is brought to justice, not just for Dorothy but for her loved ones who have lived with this pain for so long. Has anyone heard any updates or thoughts about why this case might have gone cold? It seems like there's so much work to be done in terms of solving these kinds of cases in Philly. Stay safe, everyone, and keep spreading awareness.

Has anyone looked into Dorothy Smith's social connections from around the time of her murder? I can’t help but wonder if there were clues overlooked in her personal life that might lead to answers. Dorothy was found on Aspen Street, a place where she should have felt safe. I can't imagine the pain her loved ones must be feeling. Philadelphia was rough that year, and Dorothy's unsolved case is sadly one of too many. It just seems so unfair that after all these years, there's still no justice for her family. If anyone has info on her friends or people she might have been in contact with, it might be worth a deeper dive. Keeping hope alive for Dorothy and her family.
