I've been reading through various accounts of Shawn Long's tragic death, and it really highlights the broader struggles that Philadelphia faced during that summer in 2008. It's so saddening to think about how many lives were affected by the violence that seemed to sweep through the city at that time. I can't imagine the pain that Shawn's family and friends must be feeling, not having answers or justice after all these years. It makes me think about how crucial it is for communities to support one another and work with law enforcement to help solve these cases. Even after so much time has passed, I hope that someone with information will come forward to help Shawn's family find some semblance of peace.
