Hi everyone, I’ve been deep diving into the tragic case of Javier Soto-Soto and wanted to bring up something I stumbled upon. I find it especially troubling that the area where Javier was attacked, the 700 block of North Dekalb Street, has reportedly had a number of violent incidents in the past. I wonder if this could have been a factor in what happened to Javier. Was it a random attack, or could it have been linked to any gang activities or disputes prevalent in that area? I can't even begin to imagine the pain his family must be going through, not knowing why such a young life was taken so abruptly. It’s just so unsettling to think about how many cases like his remain unsolved. If anyone has insights or theories about whether this area’s history of violence could have played a role, please share. This forum does a great job of crowdsourcing information that sometimes leads to breakthroughs, and I hope we can help in this case as well.
