I came across David Kelly’s case while reading about unsolved homicides in Philly, and I can't help but feel for his family and loved ones who have been left without closure for so many years. I know the late 2000s were especially tough for parts of the city with crime and violence impacting so many lives. It just makes me wonder about the larger issues at play back then. Was there a particular reason some neighborhoods were hit harder by violence, and has anything really changed since then? It's tough to think about how helpless residents must have felt, trying to keep their communities safe amidst such turmoil. I wish there was more of a spotlight on these older cases to finally get them solved—David and others deserve justice, and their families deserve answers. If anyone has followed updates on the efforts to improve neighborhood safety or Kelly’s case, I’d love to hear more about it. It’s important to keep these stories alive in whatever way we can.
