I've been reading up on Bennie Bland's case, and it just breaks my heart to think about how his family must still be searching for answers all these years later. It makes me think about the immense pressure on local residents who might want to speak up but fear retaliation or feel hopeless against a justice system that doesn't always come through. We really need more community support systems and resources that can help give people the courage and safety to step forward when they have information. I hope one day Bennie's family can find some peace and that city initiatives can truly make a difference in preventing future tragedies. Thoughts?
