I was thinking about Eduardo Matos and how incredibly difficult it must be for his family, especially around the holidays. Losing a loved one is always hard, but on Christmas Day, it feels like an extra layer of pain. The fact that this happened in a year already marked by so much violence in Philadelphia is just beyond words. I can't imagine how the families of both Eduardo and Jesus Perez are managing. The neighborhood here on Emerald Street has had its struggles, but these tragedies impact everyone in the community. It's crucial that we keep talking about these cases and encouraging anyone who knows something to come forward. The families deserve answers, and we owe it to them to keep their loved ones' memories alive and push for justice.
