I’ve been following Felix's case since it happened, and it just hits hard, especially since it's been over a decade without any real answers. I grew up a few neighborhoods over, and I remember hearing about the shooting back then. It's frustrating to think about how many families have been left without closure due to gun violence in Philly.
One thing I've always wondered is whether there were security cameras in the area. The 3300 block of North Philip Street isn't rural or anything, so I hope the police were at least able to gather footage from the surrounding businesses or homes. But I guess even if they did, it might not have been enough to make an arrest.
I really feel for Felix’s family—I can’t imagine how hard it must be not to have justice for him. Sharing any small detail could make a difference, so it's worth it to keep talking and keep asking questions. If anyone else has fresh info or ideas, please share. This case deserves to be solved.
Just last week, I found myself thinking about Felix Flores, and it breaks my heart to see his case still unsolved after all this time. I came across an old news article while researching, and I can't help but reflect on how many unsolved cases there are in Philadelphia like his. It's scary to think about how gun violence has impacted so many lives and communities, including Felix's neighborhood.
Felix was so young, just 21, with his whole life ahead of him. It's frustrating and baffling that no arrests have been made. I hope that continuing to share his story might jog someone’s memory or encourage someone to come forward. Maybe they saw something that seemed minor at the time? Any small piece of information could be a crucial lead.
Thinking of Felix's family and friends, who have kept his memory and the search for justice alive over these tough years. I hope they find the answers they need. Keeping Felix and everyone else affected by gun violence in my thoughts.
