Hey sleuths, I came across the case of Karen Kamsch while digging through some old articles, and something has been bugging me. Has anyone else noticed how there were no eyewitness reports of anyone seeing her between her house and her friend’s place? I know it was 1976 and all, but still. You'd think someone might have seen a girl that age walking alone in broad daylight, right? It's as if she vanished into thin air. Really makes you wonder if something happened right outside her house or before she even got far. What are everyone's thoughts on why there are zero sightings during what should have been a fairly common route for her?
Has anyone else looked into the connection between Karen's disappearance and similar cases from the same time period in Maryland? I've been diving into newspapers from the late '70s, and it seems like there were a few cases of young girls going missing around the same time. I know investigators must have considered these connections, but I wonder if there are any overlooked details. Maybe someone with better access to archives or more local knowledge could shed some light on this. It's just so puzzling how there were no real clues left behind in any of these cases.
