I've been following Esteban Gonzalez's case, and something that's been really troubling is the lack of arrests in the months following his murder. It's been long enough, and it's hard not to wonder what more can be done to get some answers. I've heard from friends in the area that people are often hesitant to come forward with information because they fear retaliation, which is completely understandable but only makes things more frustrating. From everything that's been reported, it sounds like Esteban was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, a casualty of the ongoing violence that's been plaguing Philly. I'm hoping that anyone with even the slightest bit of information finds the courage to reach out to the authorities. Esteban's family deserves some peace, and we need to show them the community's support by speaking up. Has anyone heard anything about community meetings or efforts to address this issue more broadly?
