Just wondering if anyone here has theories about why it took so long for Ann Marie Shaw's disappearance to get reported? I get that there was a family dispute, but it’s astonishing how something like this could go unnoticed for so many years. Was it just a breakdown in communication, or did people genuinely not know she was missing? It's frustrating to think about how crucial those first missing years can be in any case. I also wonder how often this type of delay happens in missing person cases. Does anyone have more insights into this aspect of missing persons investigations?

Has anyone else been looking into the details around Walter Godbey's timeline during Ann Marie Shaw's disappearance? I find it bizarre that Ann was supposedly heading to the Philippines when there was no evidence she had a passport. That 6-year gap before her disappearance was reported can't just be brushed aside as a “family dispute.” It's alarming that Walter kept her personal documents at his place. It feels more like control and possession, not just negligence on Ann’s part. I also can't shake the feeling there's more Carla knows than told. I mean, she lived with someone convicted of two deaths, and though she came forward, what about those years before Ann was officially reported missing? Maybe someone out there remembers something from the '90s that just didn’t click back then.

Hey everyone, I've been thinking about a troubling aspect of Ann Marie Shaw's case that doesn’t get enough attention. The fact that her disappearance wasn't reported until years later is baffling to me. Can you imagine how much crucial evidence could have been lost or compromised during that time? It seems like her family disputes allowed her case to slip through the cracks for way too long. I can’t help but wonder if things would have been different if the report was filed sooner. Anyone else have thoughts on how her being unreported for so long might have affected the investigation?
