Has anyone looked deeper into the neighbor's involvement in Scott and Amy's disappearance? I know the Luptons were supposedly good friends and the kids played together all the time, but something about the timeline bugs me. It's odd that the Luptons reported nothing unusual even when the Fandel kids didn’t arrive at their place that night, especially since lights being off at the cabin was out of the ordinary because Scott and Amy were scared of the dark. It's hard to grasp that no one seemed to notice anything strange in a tight-knit rural area where everyone knows each other. Even more baffling is how there were bullet casings found outside their cabin and no one in the neighborhood heard anything? I'm not accusing the neighbors, but I think there are very few avenues investigators can pursue in such a close community without someone spotting something off. Is there any chance the Luptons had more information but just didn’t piece it together at the time? Or maybe something odd seemed insignificant until everything unfolded? I wonder if police ever re-interviewed anyone from that community now that more eyes are on this case with fresh possibilities.

I’ve been digging into Scott and Amy’s case and found something peculiar about the cabin’s condition. The fact that a package of macaroni and an open can of tomatoes were out, and a pot of water was boiling, really bothers me. It seems like they were interrupted mid-snack prep. If Scott usually made macaroni before bed, what could have possibly stopped him and Amy? And why were the lights off when their mom and aunt returned if the kids were afraid of the dark? The bullet casings found outside years later just add another layer of mystery. I wonder if the kids might have heard something outside and went to investigate? Perhaps they saw something they weren’t meant to see? Also, I'm curious how thorough the initial investigation was, given the evidence left in the cabin. Did any neighbors hear anything unusual around the time they disappeared? It's haunting to think how quickly an ordinary night turned into this long-standing mystery. Has anyone else stumbled upon any similar cases or patterns?
