Has anyone else been fascinated by the items left behind in Anne's apartment? It's odd to me that personal items like her purse and money were there, but there's no sign of her. If she planned to leave even briefly, wouldn't she take her purse or cigarettes? And the unlocked door—it's almost like she expected to come back any minute. I've read some cases where people leave their door unlocked if they're stepping out for laundry or to take out the trash. Could something have happened to Anne in a similar scenario? It's the small details like this that sometimes get overlooked. Maybe someone in the area saw something and didn't realize its importance at the time. Anyone else have theories about those left-behind possessions?
One detail that's always struck me as odd in Anne's case is the unlocked door scenario. Considering her apparent intention to return shortly and the fact that her door was left unlocked, it makes me wonder whether she knew the person she met or was planning to meet. It’s curious that there were no signs of a struggle, which might imply she willingly left with someone she trusted. Maybe a neighbor or another student she regularly crossed paths with? It’s unsettling to think that someone she possibly knew might be involved. I wonder if the investigators ever looked into her social circle thoroughly. Keeping the door unlocked in a graduate housing complex just seems risky unless she had full trust in the people around her. Thoughts?
