I was digging into the case of Janet Sue Kirkup and came across something curious—apparently, there were sightings of her RV in a few different places after she was last seen in Michigan. What's odd is that none of these sightings ever seemed to lead anywhere. Given that Robert confessed in 2008, I'm wondering how much of these reports were just false or misremembered details from people seeing similar RV models. It's interesting how these bits of information can muddy the waters of a missing person case. Has anyone else heard about these sightings and how they were eventually debunked? Sometimes it feels like these kinds of inaccuracies can stretch an investigation out for years.
