Anyone else curious about the role of community dynamics in the Karen Zhou case? I've been reading about her disappearance, and it got me thinking about those who lived in the Riverhills Apartments around that time. It seems like a close-knit community might've noticed unfamiliar faces or unusual activities leading up to and on the day of her disappearance. Are there any records or interviews from neighbors or local residents that go into more detail? Also, is there any possibility that someone in the area might have moved away after that day, and could they have potentially witnessed something crucial? Sometimes, events like these can shake up a community, and people might have information they didn't realize was important. Could a more detailed map of residents and their movements around that time help provide fresh insights or leads?
Did anyone else find it strange how quickly Karen's stepfather, Shindong He, became a suspect in her disappearance? I get that he refused a polygraph and had a sketchy background, but I feel like there are so many layers here. For instance, the reported sighting of her with a tall Asian man entering a van—could that person have been someone else entirely? Or maybe related to Shindong, but not him specifically?
Also, why is there so little information on the van? Was there any attempt to track it down based on witness descriptions or security cameras in the area? It's frustrating how little we know about this vehicle. Anyone have insights or theories on this angle of the case? It could be a huge lead that's gone relatively overlooked.
