Just wondering if anyone here has insights on the Cleetwood Cove Trail conditions around the time Sammy went missing? I’ve visited Crater Lake a couple of times and recall how steep and rocky the area can be. It makes me think about how easy it would be for a young child to lose their footing or get disoriented. With Sammy's diagnosis of mild autism, it's heartbreaking to imagine how terrifying it must have been for him if he strayed off the path. Considering the natural hazards, was there any indication from hikers or visitors at the time that might provide clues on potential paths he could have wandered onto? Any comments from locals or frequent visitors would be helpful for understanding the situation better.
