I've been looking into Joan Renee Cook's case, and something's been bugging me about that last text she sent. The message at 5:00 a.m. saying "I love you" strikes me as pretty intense, especially since it was sent hours after she supposedly left Mike's house. The location near the third exit of I-81 southbound is also strange. Was Joan in some kind of distress, or was she reaching out for comfort for another reason? Between her intentions that night and the time gap, there’s a lot that doesn’t add up. I'm curious if anyone else thinks the timing and content of that last text might give us a clue about what actually happened. Does anyone have any theories about this or insights about the area around that exit on I-81?
