Hey everyone, I've been diving deep into Erik Cardenas's case, and I can't stop thinking about how risky it must have been for him to attempt crossing the border alone. Was anyone aware if Erik had any contacts or friends in Mexico who might have been helping him out with his plans? It seems odd that he would take such a big step without having some kind of support network. Given how dangerous those border areas can be, maybe someone he trusted had ulterior motives? I'm curious if there's been any chatter or rumors in Baytown or Laredo about someone having seen Erik or knowing about any connections he might have had there. This piece of the puzzle could be key in unraveling where Erik might have ended up.
Has anyone looked into the situation at the Laredo border around the time Erik Cardenas went missing? It seems like a critical point where things might have gone wrong. Was there any unusual activity reported, or have witnesses come forward from that area? Given how frequently people cross there, maybe someone saw something but didn’t realize it was important at the time. His family must feel frustrated without any new info after all these years. If anyone has insights into how the border crossing records are checked and whether there could be gaps in surveillance or communication back then, it would be good to know. The more eyes on this, the better.
