Does anyone have any insights on cold cases involving missing vehicles? I’m curious about Christopher McCoy, who vanished in '79 along with his blue ‘66 Ford Fairlane convertible in Perrine, FL. It strikes me that a car so distinctive would have surfaced by now. With some rumors suggesting he could have driven into water, I've been wondering about any nearby bodies of water that were searched back then—or, perhaps overlooked? Are there any recent advancements in search technology that could offer new leads in situations like this? It's such a puzzling aspect of the case since both the car and Chris just disappeared without a trace. Would love to hear thoughts or theories!
Hey everyone, I've been deep-diving into Christopher McCoy's case recently because it's one of those that just won't let go. Something that's been stuck in my mind is the fact that his car was never found. A whole 1966 Ford Fairlane convertible just vanished with him, which makes me wonder about the water theory. It got me thinking about how rivers and lakes can swallow up things so easily, especially if no one knows exactly where to look, or maybe it was ocean currents? Does anyone know if more emphasis was placed on searching water bodies back in 1979? Or were the investigative resources not quite there yet? I also wonder if any divers or search teams ever revisited possible submersion sites over the years. This just seems like such a huge detail — an entire car — that should lead somewhere. Would love to hear what others think or know!
