Has anyone else come across those rumors about Terry Lee Shyer potentially relocating "up north"? I find it intriguing, especially given how close-knit and seemingly stable his family ties were. For him to just vanish without a trace, especially around the holidays, really makes me wonder if there's any merit to those whispers. Could someone up there have known him well enough to offer a temporary refuge? Over the years, has anyone checked smaller towns or communities where he might have blended in? It seems like the kind of detail that could easily slip through the cracks if no one's connecting the dots. Interested to hear any thoughts or insights!
Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about Terry Lee Shyer's case lately, especially about the fact that he always wore white Converse high-tops. It's such a unique detail that I can't help but wonder if they're somehow key to figuring out what happened. Those sneakers could have been easily recognizable to anybody who saw him after he disappeared.
Is it possible that someone along the routes he frequently traveled by bike might have seen him or even remarked about those distinctive shoes? If he did indeed move "up north" or if something more nefarious happened, those Converse high-tops could have left an impression on someone, somewhere. Has anyone tried looking into footwear sales around the time he went missing or checking with local shoeshops that might've had someone trying to replace a pair like that?
I know it sounds far-fetched, but sometimes the smallest clues can lead to answers. Would love to hear what others think about this aspect of Terry’s disappearance.
Has anyone looked into Terry's love for cycling? The fact that he often traveled by bicycle might be more significant than it first appears. I'm wondering if he could have biked a long distance, possibly to that "up north" area people have speculated about. Gobles, MI, is a rather rural area, and it's plausible he could have navigated through back routes to avoid detection, especially without a driver's license. Have authorities checked into any sightings of someone matching his description along major bicycle trails or rural paths during that time? There weren't many security cameras back then, but maybe someone recognized him. I just think it's an angle worth considering that might have been overlooked.
