I've been following the Frank Vanek case recently, and something that puzzles me is the lack of details surrounding his disappearance. Greece, NY back in 1990 wasn't a huge place, so you'd think there would be more community chatter or local news coverage from the time — anything that would have given the investigation some leads. I've gone through the old NamUs listings and some newspaper archives, but it's all just a lot of dead ends. It's almost as if he vanished into thin air, which I find really perplexing. Does anyone know if there were any major events or disruptions in the area around the time he went missing? Sometimes those little bits of context can be so revealing. If anyone has insight or lived in the area during that time, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Hey everyone, I recently came across Frank Vanek's case again and found myself wondering about the weather conditions on the day he disappeared—does anyone have info on this? I know weather can sometimes affect search efforts, especially if it was bad enough to delay initial response times or obscure evidence. It's frustrating enough that there are so few details, but I'm always curious if little things like weather might help form a clearer picture of that day. Also, if anyone has access to old local news archives or anything that might give clues about the community chatter at the time, that could be interesting to dig into as well! Every small detail can help, right?
