One thing that really puzzles me about William's case is the timing of when he was reported missing. It’s strange to me that it took until September 2006 for someone to officially notice he was gone, especially since his car was found at the property. Even though it was a tough time for the family with the recent loss of their mother, one would think his absence would have raised red flags sooner. Did he not have friends or colleagues who would check in on him regularly? And how come his father or neighbors didn’t notice anything odd for that long? It's alarming how someone can just disappear for months before anyone takes action. Thoughts?
Hi everyone,

One detail about William George Merriman's case that's been bugging me is the timing of his disappearance with his mother’s tragic passing. She died in a car accident just five days before he went missing. I can’t help but wonder about the added emotional stress and turmoil this might have introduced into the dynamics between William and his brother, Charles. With already strained relations, perhaps the grief and pressure over their mother’s death might have escalated their conflicts. Does anyone know if investigators looked into how their mom’s accident might have impacted their interactions during those last days William was seen? I find it odd that this angle hasn’t been explored more deeply in discussions or media reports. Any insights or theories out there?
Hey everyone, I've been following the Merriman case for a while and something's been bugging me. I came across an old local news report that mentioned a blood-stained cushion found at a landfill tied back to William. I'm curious about the search efforts at the landfill site. Does anyone know how extensive they were or any details about what else was found? It seems like such a crucial piece of the puzzle, considering they never found his remains. I hope I'm not the only one who thinks this angle deserves more attention. Appreciate any insights or resources you might have!
