Has anyone looked into the possibility that the dark green Geo Prizm might have been deliberately left in Lawrence County as a red herring? I've been rereading the details, and it's odd that it was found 50-60 miles away with all their belongings intact and the car unlocked. It just seems too easy. If this was a planned disappearance or if they were taken against their will, why leave clues behind like that, especially when witnesses claim they got into a different car? Could there have been something significant in the area, or was someone trying to throw the investigation off their trail? It makes me wonder if whoever moved the car knew the area well. Anyone familiar with similar cases where cars were used as decoys? This case is full of so many layers, it's maddening.
Has anyone else found it odd how quickly that white car became a focus in the investigation? It seems like witnesses mentioned it almost immediately, but no solid details ever emerged about the owner or why Christopher and Kristina might have gotten into it. Could there have been more than one person involved? I'm also curious if there were any security cameras along the route they might have taken in Lawrence County that day. It's been so long, but tech advances could mean more footage might exist now than was accessible back then. Anything on potential updates involving further CCTV searches?
