Has anyone looked into the area where Hattie's car was found? It seems odd that it ended up on a secluded farm in southeastern Halifax County, but how did it get there, and why? If it's that remote, someone must have known the area pretty well to abandon the car there.
Also, were any farm owners or workers in that area questioned thoroughly? It's a bit strange for a burned-out car to be unnoticed for so long. Maybe someone saw something but didn't think much of it at the time. I feel like there’s got to be some connection that hasn’t been uncovered yet. A tip from someone local who might have seen something that seemed off could make a huge difference.
It makes you wonder if Derek or another acquaintance knew about this place and used it to hide evidence. Thoughts?
I’ve been digging into Hattie Gertrude Brown’s case and can’t help but wonder about the surveillance footage from the Sheetz gas station. Was any other information revealed from the video besides her picking up Derek? Like, did anyone suspicious appear on the tapes? It seems odd that a public place like that wouldn’t have more insights. It’s baffling how quickly things escalated right after that sighting. It would make a huge difference if they could release more details on what the cameras might have captured that night or if anyone else saw them. Just trying to understand what really happened from that moment onward.
