I don't know if anyone else has been looking into the details of Bethany's case timeline, but I find the Facebook angle really baffling. The fact that someone was using her account to impersonate her after her disappearance has always seemed so eerie to me. Who was trying to cover up her absence, and for what reason? It seems calculated and almost like someone wanted to keep people off balance about her being missing. What does everyone think the intention was behind this? Could it have been Roldan trying to create an alibi, or is it possible there was someone else involved who hasn't been identified yet? It's just so strange that they never caught the person behind those posts.
Hey everyone,
I've been following Bethany Decker's case for a while now, and something that's always puzzled me is the role of social media in the early stages of her disappearance. Her family noticed someone was using her Facebook account to impersonate her, and social media impersonation in missing person cases just gives me the creeps. It's chilling to think about who might have been behind it and for what purpose. Was it an attempt to throw people off, making them think she was still around, or was there something more sinister at play?
It's interesting that, in many cases, digital footprints can provide essential clues, but here it seemed to just add another layer of confusion. I wonder if back in 2011, authorities had the resources to track the IP addresses or identify patterns in the digital activity because it feels like that might have shed some light on who was behind the screen.
If anyone has insights into how investigations handle these kinds of digital leads, especially back then, I'd love to hear your thoughts. It’s cases like Bethany's that remind me how important it is to be cautious with our online presence.
Looking forward to the discussion!
Stay safe everyone.
