Hey everyone, just stumbled upon Davis's case, and there's a detail that's been nagging at me. I keep thinking about how she left without any money, ID, or extra clothes. It's like she didn't plan on going far, or maybe she thought she'd be back soon. Maybe someone out there remembers seeing her that night? I also find it puzzling how the dogs tracked her scent to the payphone but couldn't pick up anything new. Could she have planned to meet someone there? It's odd how no other trace surfaced after that point. Wondering if anyone has thoughts or similar examples where people went missing without taking anything with them. Especially given the time frame and setting in Alaska, it couldn't have been easy to just vanish completely.

Just stumbled across this old case about Davis and wanted to share some thoughts I haven't seen discussed much. I've been curious about the timing of her disappearance in relation to the divorce papers signed that same day. It seems like such a significant emotional event, and I can't help but wonder if something in the sequence of events after signing the papers led to her disappearance. It stood out to me that she left without money or identification, and it makes me question if she might have been planning to come back. The walk to the pay phone could have been a moment of reflection or a break from the emotion of the situation at home. The note she left adds another layer of complexity. It's heartbreaking and seems more like an apology than a goodbye. But it makes me wonder if she could have met someone on the way who didn't have her best interests at heart. It’s unnerving how her trail seems to just end like that, and that the "old trail" explanation leaves so many unanswered questions. Anyone else have thoughts on this angle?
