I've been following Willene Chong's case for a while, and something about it really sticks with me. I can’t imagine the pain Daniel must still feel—after all, he not only lost his mother in such a horrific way but also had to endure being right there, feeling utterly helpless. The trauma of trying to save someone you love and suffering injuries in that attempt is unimaginable. To still have no answers all these years later must make the healing process even harder for him and for the whole family. It's so frustrating that even though investigators suspect a group of youths were possibly involved, it seems no one has come forward to shed light on this tragedy. If this was indeed a "prank gone wrong," could it be that one of those involved has had their conscience gnawing at them? I hope one day someone speaks up. The community felt the loss profoundly, and it must still haunt them. My thoughts are with all who loved Willene, hoping they find closure and justice soon.
